I’m partnered with a rapidly growing student lending fintech that’s transforming how students access and manage education financing. Their mission is to make higher education more accessible by combining innovative lending solutions with modern technology.
They’re seeking their next Account Executive — a driven, high-energy sales professional to build new partnerships with universities, bootcamps, and training providers. This is a high-impact role with uncapped earning potential, a collaborative culture, and enormous growth opportunities as the company scales.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a hunter-style Account Executive to drive net-new business and expand the company’s presence with schools nationwide. This role is all about activity, persistence, and results — identifying prospects, opening doors, running an efficient sales process, and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source and engage educational institutions (primarily for-profit schools, plus other training providers)
- Own the full sales cycle: from cold outreach to close
- Drive high daily activity (calls, emails, demos, presentations)
- Clearly communicate the value of the company’s student loan platform and guide schools through onboarding
- Build trust by educating prospects without requiring deep financial expertise
- Consistently hit and exceed sales targets in a fast-paced, quick-turn sales environment
- Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and long-term success
Requirements
- 2+ years of successful sales experience (institutional or SaaS sales preferred)
- Hunter mentality — thrives on prospecting, high activity, and closing quickly
- Proven record of exceeding quotas in fast-paced environments
- Experience with quick sales cycles (loan/lending experience is a plus)
- Strong communication and presentation skills; confident pitching decision-makers
- Highly self-motivated, persistent, and resilient
- Based in New York, with flexibility for travel as needed
