Our client, a leading global payment solutions provider, is seeking a Business Development Manager, EMEA-focused (based in the UK or Spain) to support their international expansion across key markets.
In this role, you will engage with digital-first and mid-market merchants, delivering innovative payment solutions that drive growth and enable global commerce.
Key Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with merchants across EMEA to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.

Build and execute strategic go-to-market plans to penetrate new verticals, regions, and customer segments.

Proactively generate leads, conduct market research, and establish relationships with key decision-makers (C-level, Product, and Payments stakeholders).

Drive adoption of the company’s payment solutions, positioning it as a preferred partner for digital merchants.

Collaborate with GTM, Product, Marketing, Merchant Success, Risk, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure seamless deal execution and client onboarding.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements that align with business objectives and deliver long-term value.

Manage pipeline progression and performance metrics through leading revenue operation tools.

Represent the company with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to building strategic partnerships.
Qualifications

Proven experience in business development or strategic sales with global enterprise or mid-market accounts.

Prior experience in the payments industry (merchant acquiring, e-commerce, PSPs, or payment orchestration) is required.

Strong track record of meeting and exceeding business development or new logo acquisition targets.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to negotiate complex deals and engage senior stakeholders effectively.

Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Demonstrated ability to identify, build, and accelerate pipeline opportunities.

Demonstrated hunter mentality- driven, curious, and persistent in pursuing new opportunities.

Must hold a valid passport and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time within EMEA.
