⚡ Role: SEC Reporting Manager

💰 Salary: $125,000-150,000 + equity
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for an SEC Reporting Manager to join a high-performing finance team at a leading renewable energy company. In this role, you will take ownership of the company’s external financial reporting process and play a key role in supporting the growth of a mission-driven business. You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with SEC regulations, managing quarterly and annual filings, and supporting technical accounting and audit processes in a dynamic, sustainability-focused environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q), including MD&A and footnotes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Serve as the main liaison with external auditors during quarterly and annual reviews.
• Provide technical accounting support for revenue recognition, equity compensation, leases, consolidations, and M&A.
• Manage the XBRL tagging process and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
• Act as an internal expert on U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations; monitor updates and implement changes as needed.
• Drive improvements to reporting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Review competitor filings to benchmark disclosure trends and best practices.
• Maintain internal documentation (e.g., GAAP checklists) and support audit committee reporting.
• Ensure robust internal controls over financial reporting and assist with SOX compliance and testing.

Qualifications:

• 5–7+ years of relevant experience, including 2–3 years at a Big 4 firm.
• CPA or equivalent certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong grasp of US GAAP, SEC rules, and technical accounting.
• Experience with XBRL and financial reporting tools.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly document complex issues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/reporting systems preferred.
