Commercial Sales Manager – South Central Region
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Manager to lead sales efforts in the commercial and industrial (C&I) solar sector. This role focuses on driving revenue growth through direct and channel sales, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and expanding market presence across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage C&I sales operations within the South Central region, overseeing bookings and shipments through distributors, end users, and EPC/development partners.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in alignment with company objectives.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with enterprise accounts, EPCs, distributors, design engineers, project developers, and asset owners.
- Engage with Fortune 500 companies, manufacturing, agriculture, REITs, big-box retail, warehousing, schools, universities, and healthcare institutions to promote solar solutions.
- Attend industry events to connect with sustainability managers and other key decision-makers exploring renewable energy solutions.
- Provide sales forecasts, analyze performance metrics, and implement strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with product management teams to refine offerings for the U.S. market by gathering customer feedback and monitoring industry trends.
- Contribute to marketing and product positioning strategies tailored to regional market needs.
- Work closely with executive leadership to ensure sales objectives align with broader business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; a technical background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in technical sales, managing complex engineered solutions and multiple sales channels, including distribution, EPCs, project developers, and financial institutions.
- Experience in the solar PV industry, with knowledge of rooftop and ground-mount solar projects.
- Proven ability to exceed sales targets and secure high-value deals.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical product benefits to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated success in developing new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic industry with rapid growth and evolving market conditions.
