⚡ Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team. In this role, you will focus on performing root cause analysis, conducting failure analysis, and troubleshooting electrical systems to ensure product reliability and performance. You’ll also contribute to product support and new product development, collaborating closely with senior engineers to improve existing designs and troubleshoot complex issues.
⚡ Responsibilities:
- Perform root cause and failure analysis on electrical systems to diagnose and resolve performance issues.
- Troubleshoot existing products, identifying and addressing underlying electrical problems.
- Redesign electrical systems to improve reliability and functionality based on analysis findings.
- Develop testing methods and tools to evaluate and prevent future failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and contribute to new product development.
- Lead presentations to communicate analysis results and proposed solutions to management and senior engineers.
⚡ Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in troubleshooting analog, digital, and mixed-signal systems.
- Experience with AC/DC power systems, including converters, inverters, and relays.
- Familiarity with lab equipment like oscilloscopes, power supplies, and waveform generators.
- Proficiency in schematic design and layout tools.
- Experience with modeling and simulation software (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB, PLECs).
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
⚡ Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in fast-paced engineering environments.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies (e.g., lithium-ion batteries, solar power, power conversion).
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., UL, FCC, medical or aerospace certifications).
- Experience designing and troubleshooting Level 2, V2X EV chargers.
- Background in designing and shipping high-volume consumer products.
- Experience with Altium Designer.
